The Hong Kong Promotion of Performing Arts Association (HKPPAA) supports musicians by providing high-standard performance and evaluation platforms. Based on international music examination criteria, our competitions offer constructive feedback from distinguished professors, experienced examiners, and professional musicians—fostering artistic growth and preserving musical excellence across Hong Kong.

2. A confirmation email will be received within 10 days after completion.
3. The competition dates and times will be announced on the website in late-July. Please check the competition date, time, and location on your own. If you do not attend the competition, it will be regarded as a forfeit.
4. Certificates (with name) and medals/trophies (un-engraved) will be sent via SF Express will be paid upon delivery. Optional additional services—including trophy or medal name engraving, memento flag, express services, and e-certificates—will be available for purchase after the competition.

2. A confirmation email will be received within 10 days after completion.
3. After recording, participants upload the video to their personal YouTube channel with their name and category as the video title.
4. After receiving the confirmation email, please submit the YouTube link or google drive link and sheet music (PDF) through the link in the confirmation email by December 20 or earlier. Or you can also submit the video at the time of registration.
5. You will receive an automated email to verify the information you submitted. Once our staff has verified your payment and application details, we will send you a formal confirmation email along with your receipt.
6. Competition results will be emailed to participants in January, and awards and score sheets will be sent via SF Express (Shipping cost payable upon delivery via SF Express) to the address provided in the registration form.

影片注意事项
1.影片一经提交，不得更改，逾期递交恕不受理
2.上传 YouTube 不限格式或容量
3.在录影开始时，先向镜头展示附有相片的身分证明文件（例如香港身分证或护照）10 秒，然后再展示参赛者的脸部。
4.不能有其他杂声
5.任何不合规格或与比赛无关的影片将一律取消资格
6.影片内容尽可能包括演奏前后之鞠躬，鞠躬时需清晰显示演奏者之容貌（请注意拍摄时之光线）
7.演奏前不用介绍乐曲﹐在 YouTube 影片名称中请输入姓名及组别名称
8.影片清晰显示演奏时上半身及至脚踏（如有使用)、双手和键盘
9.影片需要一气呵成，不可有任何加工或编辑
10.可用直身琴或三角琴演奏
11.如以同一乐曲参加多于一个组别，请于 YouTube 影片名称中列出所有参赛组别名称

Video Guidelines
1.Once submitted, videos cannot be changed. Late submissions will not be accepted.
2.There are no specific format or size restrictions for uploading to YouTube.
3.At the beginning of the recording, hold your photo ID up close to the camera for at least 10 seconds. Then show your face to the camera.
4.There should be no background noise in the video.
5.Any videos that do not meet the specified requirements or are irrelevant to the competition will be disqualified.
6.The video should ideally include bows before and after the performance, with the performer\'s face clearly visible during the bow (please pay attention to lighting during filming).
7.There is no need to introduce the music before playing. Please enter your name and group name in the YouTube video title.
8.The video should clearly show the upper body during the performance, including the feet (if using pedals), both hands, and the keyboard.
9.The video should be continuous and not have any editing or post-processing.
10.Performances can be done on upright or grand pianos.
11.If participating in multiple Classes with the same piece, list all class names in the YouTube video title.

1. 报名与费用 Registration & Fees

Q: 报名费可以退还吗？Can the registration fee be refunded?
所有报名费用一经缴付，恕不设退回。 All registration fees are non-refundable once payment is confirmed.

Q: 如果我临时无法出席现场比赛，该怎么办？What should I do if I can\'t attend the live competition due to unforeseen circumstances?
若参赛者未能出席现场比赛，可申请转为录影模式（影片评审）或将参赛资格保留至下一次比赛。请务必于比赛前五天通知大会。 If a contestant cannot attend the live competition, they may apply to switch to video submission mode or defer their entry to the next competition. Please notify the organizer at least five days in advance.

Q3：比赛分组是如何划分？How are the competition groups divided?
分为级别组、公开组、非古典歌曲组及奖学金组。公开组及非古典组分为（如 K1-K2 组、K3 组、P1-P3 组、F1-F3 组、青年组、成年组等）、级别组（包括所有考试单位的级别及校际音乐节的分级）小组合奏及合奏组 (包括不同形式合奏小组及合唱团、管弦乐团等不同团体合奏) 及奖学金组 (包括各乐器的分组)。请参阅[https://www.hkppaa.org/classes](https://www.hkppaa.org/classes) The groups are divided into level groups, open groups, non-classical song groups, and scholarship groups. Q4：我可以报名多个组别吗？Can I register across different groups?
参赛者可以报名参加多于一个组别（例如：同时报名钢琴独奏及小提琴独奏），但年龄组别只能报名符合自身年龄的组别。 Contestants are allowed to register for more than one group (e.g., both piano solo and violin solo), but age groups typically restrict participants to register only in groups that match their age.

2. 曲目与表演 Repertoire & Performance

Q1: 比赛需要背谱吗？Is memorization required for the competition?
不需背谱。 Memorization is not required.

Q2: 如果曲目超过时间限制会怎样？What happens if the performance exceeds the time limit?
如果超时，评判有权叫停而不予评分，或扣减分数。 If time is exceeded, the judges reserve the right to stop the performance without scoring or to deduct points.

3. 现场安排与服装 Logistics & Attire

Q1：报到需要提交什么文件？What documents need to be submitted at registration?
需要身份证明文件以及两份乐谱副本及正本乐谱 (如看谱演奏)。 Please provide identification documents and two copies of the sheet music, as well as the original score (if music is read during the performance) are needed.

Q2: 比赛当天需要穿什么？What should be worn on the day of the competition?
请穿着合适的表演服装或校服，展现对比赛及观众的尊重。 Please wear appropriate performance attire or school uniforms to show respect for the competition and the audience.

Q3: 我需要提早多久到达？How early do I need to arrive?
请于报到时间前 15 分钟到达会场。 Please arrive at the venue 15 minutes before your scheduled reporting time.

4. 恶劣天气安排 Bad Weather Arrangements

Q1: 若比赛当日遇到台风或黑雨怎么办？What happens if the competition day encounters a typhoon or black rain?
会依照场地要求照常或取消比赛，若实体比赛取消，会改以录影模式进行比赛。 The competition will proceed as scheduled or be canceled based on venue requirements. If the live competition is canceled, it will switch to video submission mode.

5. 伴奏与乐器 Accompaniment and Instruments

Q1：大会会提供伴奏吗？ Will the event provide accompaniment?
参赛者需自备伴奏人员。如果曲目本身包含钢琴伴奏，参赛者必须安排伴奏，不可使用录音代替 (除非古典歌曲组)。 Participants must arrange for their own accompanists. If the piece includes a piano accompaniment, participants must arrange live accompaniment and cannot use recordings as substitutes (unless in the non-classical music group).

Q2：现场可以试琴 / 试音吗？ Can there be a trial on the piano/sound check at the venue?
参赛者上台后可作简短调音（弦乐 / 管乐），但不可练习整首曲目。 Participants may make brief adjustments (for strings/wind instruments) once on stage, but full practice of the piece is not allowed.

Each member of the ensemble reward, a medal and an individual certificate require a separate application: HK$50 per certificate and medal within the application deadline, HK$80 per certificate and medal thereafter. Free shipping is offered for orders of 20 certificates and medals or more.

• 每名参赛者均可登记额外服务（以每人每项计算）Each participant is eligible to register for additional services (charged per person per item).

补发安排 Reissue Arrangements
如于结果公布后 3 个月内仍未收到奖项且未有任何通知，将视为需重新申请。
If you have not received your award within 3 months of the results announcement and have not been notified, it will be considered a reapplication.
补发收费如下 Reissue fees are as follows (顺丰到付 to be paid upon delivery via SF Express):

比赛规则 Competition Rules and Regulations

报名前须知 (Before Application) :

1 所有分龄组别周岁均以 2026 年 1 月 1 日为标准计算。
In all classes where an age requirement is stipulated, the governing date shall be 1 January 2026.

2 参赛者不限国籍，但须提交身份证 / 护照副本 / 学生手册以确认资料。
No restriction on nationality. An identity card, passport or student handbook photocopy submission is needed.

3 参赛者可选择参加多个参赛组别，唯同一组只能参加一次。
Contestants can participate in more than one entry, but not more than once in the same class.

4 若参赛者在同一场比赛中 (包括实体及录影比赛) 使用同一乐曲参与多个组别比赛，并于同一场比赛中被同一位评判评分，其评分及评语将于同一张评分纸上记录。
If a competitor uses the same musical piece to participate in multiple categories within the same competition (both live and digital competition), and is judged by the same adjudicator during the same event. In that case, their scores and comments will be recorded on the same score sheet.

5 参赛者不需背谱。弹奏乐曲时需使用正本作阅谱之用，否则将被取消比赛资格。
Memorization is not mandatory, but contestants must use original scores during the competition. If not, they will be disqualified.

6 参赛者于比赛时无需重复，注明 D.C. 及 D.S. 之乐曲除外。
All repertoires should be played without repeat, except for pieces marked with D.C. or D.S.

7 如参赛曲目有多乐章，只可演奏其中一个乐章。
Contestants can only choose one movement of the piece to join the competition.

8 参赛者如以组曲参赛，演奏时长须符合组别要求，可挑选组曲中的部分乐曲演奏。 Contestants who choose a suite as their competition piece must ensure that the performance duration meets the requirements of their category. They may select specific movements from the suite for performance.

9 除了钢琴参赛者，其他乐器参赛者之乐器均需自行携带到场。
Except for piano contestants, all other contestants are required to bring their instruments to the venue.

10 只有当代及流行音乐组可自行携带音乐播放器取缔真人伴奏。
Only Contemporary & Popular Music group contestants can use the speaker to play background music instead of finding an accompanist.

11 所有比赛均提供三角琴 (包括伴奏)。
A grand piano will be provided for all piano contestants and accompanists.

12 报名费用已包括：一组比赛、证书、奖牌或水晶奖座之费用。会以顺丰到付方式寄出。
Entry fees include one class competition, certificate, medal, or trophy fee. Charge on delivery.

13 为表扬导师或机构培育及鼓励学生于音乐之发展，本会设立以下奖项：
杰出教师奖：每组冠、亚、季军得主之导师
作育英才奖：推荐 5 名或以上参加比赛的导师
艺术推广奖：推荐 10 名或以上参加比赛的导师
To honour the work of teachers and education organizations in promoting music education, we offer the following awards:
Excellent Teacher Award: Awarded to the teachers of the 1st-place prize, 2nd-place and 3rd-place prizes
Nurturing Talent Award: Each teacher/education organization who has 5 to 9 students applying to the competition will be awarded.
Arts Promotion Award: Each teacher/education organization who has 10 or more students applying to the competition will be awarded

14 所有已缴之款项，恕不退还、转让或更改。
The paid fee is not refundable or transferable.

15 报名表填写不清、后补、欠交报名费或资料不齐均视为无效。如有任何资料需要更改，需付 $200 行政费用。请自行到比赛页的资料更改登记资料。
If the application form is not filled in clearly, if the payment for the entry fee is not completed, or if other required information is inaccurate, the application is considered incomplete and will be deemed invalid. If the event of any information changes, $200 of administrative expenses will be charged. Please proceed to the competition webpage to personally make changes to your registration details.

16 Paypal 付款只适用于香港以外地区参赛者，香港参赛者如使用 PayPal 需补回有关差额。

17 比赛日期和时间不可更改或选择，若参赛者未能出席比赛，可改为录影参赛，但不得要求退款。请自行查阅比赛日期、时间和地点，如没有出席比赛则视为弃权。
The competition dates and times are non-negotiable and not selectable. If a participant is unable to attend the competition, they may opt for a video-recorded performance, but refunds will not be granted. Please check the competition date, time, and location on your own. If you do not attend the competition, it will be regarded as a forfeit.

18 当实体比赛因天灾或场地限制无法举行时或实体比赛参赛者人数不足，将改以录影模式进行比赛。
When physical events cannot take place due to natural disasters, venue restrictions, or the number of participants is insufficient, they will be conducted in video recording mode instead.

19 如有任何突发事件影响实体比赛进行，比赛将改为网上形式进行，所有奖杯、奖牌、证书及分纸将于比赛结束后以顺丰到付方式邮递至参赛者申报之地址。
Should the situation arise where emergencies prohibit the competition from occurring in-person, the competition will then hosted online as a virtual competition. All trophies, medals, certificates and score sheets will be charged on delivery after the competition.

20 本会有权拒绝或终止不符合参赛资格者或违规者参赛。
HKPPAA reserves the right to disqualify contestants who fail to meet the requirements for competition or who violate the regulations.

21 本会有权在需要时调动、修改或取消任何有关比赛安排之权利。
HKPPAA has the right to arrange, revise or cancel the competition.

22 主办单位有权修改比赛规则、奖品内容及评委会成员，如有任何变更，恕不另行通告。
Rules, regulations, awards and names of the jurors are subject to change without prior notice.

23 如有任何情况不能以本比赛章程中任何条文解释，或一切行政及比赛事宜，将以本会对比赛章程之诠释作出最终决定。
If there is any situation that cannot be explained by any provisions of this competition regulation, or any of the administrative and competition matters, the final decision will be made by HKPPAA\'s interpretation of the competition regulations.

比赛时须知及规则 (During Competition Rules) :
1 每位参赛者只可最多由一名成人陪同参赛。比赛场地之座位将优先留予该场比赛之参赛者。如个别场地座位不足，陪同参赛之老师或家长有机会不获安排进场。
Each contestant can only be accompanied by one adult, with seats reserved for the contestants first. If all the seats in the venue are filled up, teachers or parents may not be permitted to enter the venue.

2 参赛者不需背谱。弹奏乐曲时需使用正本作阅谱之用，否则将被取消比赛资格。
Memorization is not mandatory, but contestants must use original scores during the competition. If not, they will be disqualified.

3 参赛者需提交所选乐曲之两份副本供两位评判参考。
Contestants need to hand in two copies of their chosen piece to two adjudicators.

4 参赛者于比赛时无需重复，注明 D.C. 及 D.S. 之乐曲除外。
All repertoires should be played without repeat, except for pieces marked with D.C. or D.S.

如参赛曲目有多乐章，只可演奏其中一个乐章。
Contestants can only choose one movement of the piece to join the competition.

5 所有曲目需从第一小节开始演奏，不得从中段开始。在比赛途中，如评判觉得弹奏乐曲已足够评分，会按铃示意参赛者终止演奏，这个举动不会影响评分。
All repertoires need to be played beginning from the first measure and not from the middle. During the performance, the jury may stop and ring the bell at any time if they have made their decision. This will not affect the result.

6 只有当代与流行音乐组可自行携带音乐播放器取缔真人伴奏。
Only Contemporary & Popular Music Class contestants can use the speaker to play background music instead of finding an accompanist.

7 所有比赛均提供三角琴 (包括伴奏)。
A grand piano will be provided for all piano contestants and accompanists.

8 迟到者不获评分及奖项，只获评语。
Late participants receive comments but no marks or awards.

9 本会按评判的专业评语及评分作为比赛结果的依据，参赛者不得异议。
The results are based on the jury’s professional comments and marking, which are final and indisputable.

10 比赛过程中本会将会进行录影，除参赛者之陪同人士外，任何人士均不得摄影、录音或录影其他参赛者演奏，一切有关比赛之录像版权归本会所有。
HKPPAA will record the entirety of the competition. Except for the contestant\'s allowed accompanying person, no other person or party is permitted to take photos, videos or make any other kind of recordings of the other contestants during the duration of the competition. The copyrights of all audio and visual recordings of the competition are deemed the properties of the organizer.

11 于评判宣布结果前，任何人士（包括参赛者、家长及老师）均不得与评判接触，违者将被立即取消参赛资格。如有询问，可向在场之场务人员查询。
Before results are announced, any person/parties (including contestants, parents and teachers) cannot approach judges. Violaters will be disqualified. Staff welcome any questions.

12 冠军、亚军及季军将获奖杯一个及奖状一张。90 分或以上将获金奖、80-89 分将获银奖、70-79 分将获铜奖，金奖、银奖及铜奖均获奖牌一个及奖状一张。69 分或以下将获优异奖奖状一张。最低获奖要求: 90 分或以上获冠军；85-89 分获亚军；80-84 分获季军。如参赛者能力未达水平，奖项可能会从缺。所有水晶奖座及奖牌于每场比赛结束后即时派发，奖状会于比赛后寄予参赛者。如当场没有领奖，后补领取奖杯 / 奖牌 / 奖状将收取额外行政费 $200 元，
1st-place prize, 2nd-place and 3rd-place prizes winners will be awarded a trophy and a certificate. The remaining contestants will be awarded a medal and a certificate according to their scores as follows: Gold Prize (90 marks or above), Silver Prize (80-89 marks), Bronze Prize (70-79 marks), and certificate of achievement (69 marks or below). Minimum award requirements: 90 marks or above entitles the champion, 85-89 entitles the second place, and 80-84 entitles the third place. If overall participants’ capabilities do not reach the desired expectation or there are few participants, there might be no winner announced. Trophies and Medals will be awarded immediately at the end of each competition. Certificates will be sent after the competition. If the contestants do not collect the award on the spot, an additional administrative fee of $200 will be charged for the subsequent collection of the trophy/medal/certificate.

13 出席比赛之人士应看管其个人财物，任何损失本会概不负责。
Participants of the competition should take care of their personal belongings, and HKPPAA will not be responsible for any loss of personal belongings.

14 比赛时间为全场大约的开始时间，比赛将按次序进行，并不接受提早或延迟演奏的申请。比赛时间可能因为不同的原因而稍有延迟，参赛者须耐心等待。
The listed competition time is the approximate starting time for the whole competition. The competition must proceed and occur in order. Contestant appeals for earlier or later performances than their designated times will not be accepted. The competition may be delayed due to various reasons, and should the situation arise we ask that participants wait patiently.

15 实体比赛确实比赛日资料一律于报名结束后公布，参赛者需自行到本会网页查阅其比赛日期时间地点，本会不作另行通知，如需要可免费转为录影模式，但不接受其他更改及退款安排。
The information regarding live competitions, including competition dates, will be announced after the registration deadline. Participants are required to check the competition dates, times, and venues on our organization\'s website. We will not provide individual notifications. If necessary, participants can request to switch to the digital competition mode free of charge. However, we do not accept any other changes or refund arrangements.

16 当实体比赛因天灾或场地限制无法举行时或实体比赛参赛者人数不足，将改以录影模式进行比赛。
When physical events cannot take place due to natural disasters, venue restrictions, or the number of participants is insufficient, they will be conducted in video recording mode instead.

17 若有任何违规行为，包括但不限于：不符合参赛歌曲要求、迟到、未有原定的伴奏、演奏超过规定曲目或乐章等情况，主办单位有权于比赛评分时取消参赛资格、扣分或取消奖项。所有决定将由主办单位做出，不得提出异议。
In case of any violation, including but not limited to: failure to comply with the requirements of the competition songs, tardiness, absence of the original accompaniment for a song, playing an extra song or movement, the organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify participants, deduct points, or withhold awards during the marking time of the competition. All outcomes will be determined by the organizing committee and are not subject to dispute.

The order of appearance for the competition will be announced on the day of the event. All participants must check in at the designated time; otherwise, they risk disqualification. Requests for changes to the earliest or latest appearance will not be accepted. Accompanist teachers must be present at the time of registration to ensure the smooth running of the competition.

20 所有参赛影片必须于截止日期前成功提交。若因任何问题未能于截止日期前提出，或逾期未提交者，均视为自动弃权。
All video submissions must be completed before the deadline. Failure to submit or to report any technical issues prior to the deadline will be deemed as disqualification.

21 录影模式参赛者需确保提交影片时所填写资料的准确性及其影片合乎规格，每位参赛者只能提交一次影片连结及乐谱 PDF，逾期提交者将被取消资格。提交后如有任何资料需要更改，需付 $200 行政费用。请自行到比赛页的资料更改登记资料。
For Digital competitors, it is crucial to ensure the accuracy of the information provided when submitting the video and that the video complies with the specifications. Each competitor can only submit once, and late submissions will result in disqualification. If any information needs to be altered after submission, a $200 administrative fee will be charged. Please proceed to the competition page to make changes to your registration details.

22 需使用儿童专用踏板的参赛者，请自行携带。 Competitors who need to use a piano pedal extender for kids, please bring your own.

23 若参赛者在同一场比赛中使用同一乐曲参与多个组别比赛，并于同一场比赛中被同一位评判评分，其评分及评语将于同一张评分纸上记录。
If a competitor uses the same musical piece to participate in multiple categories within the same competition, and is judged by the same adjudicator during the same event, their scores and comments will be recorded on the same score sheet.

24 学生获奖后，所有导师必须自行于比赛页面申请奖项，否则本会不会颁发奖项。会以顺丰到付方式寄出。
After a student wins an award, the mentor must apply for the prize on the competition page themselves; otherwise, the association will not issue the award. Charge on delivery.

25 导师所申请之奖项必须与参赛者报名时资料一致，否则不获处理，每位参赛者之导师奖项得奖者只能有一位导师 / 一间机构 / 一间学校。
The awards applied for by mentors must match the information provided by the competitor during registration; otherwise, we will not process. Each winning competitor can have only one mentor/organization/school for the teacher\'s award.

26 本会有权拒绝或终止不符合参赛资格者或违规者参赛。
HKPPAA reserves the right to disqualify contestants who fail to meet the requirements for competition or who violate the regulations.

27 本会有权在需要时调动、修改或取消任何有关比赛安排之权利。
HKPPAA has the right to arrange, revise or cancel the competition.
